Google has changed their limits on the length of the meta description text.
Google use to have a character limit of 290-300.
The length of the meta description text has been shortened (as of December 2017).
Best practice in 2019 is to keep it from 120 to 155 characters.
Shopify has not updated their character count for meta description to the correct amount.
This is not ideal because it can result in your words getting cut off in search results (which may result in a lower click through rate and less readability )
