The ugly truth about buying backlinks and why it's so terrible for SEO
Buying backlinks is like committing website suicide.
Is it okay to buy backlinks? Nope, it's never okay.😜
Is it okay to buy premium backlinks? Nope. It's still not okay. 🤪
Good rule of thumb: Never buy backlinks!
The idea is to earn backlinks legitimately.
I know, it's hard, and that's the point.
Google doesn't want to make it easy or else everyone would be doing it.
Not every one can be in the #1 spot on search results.
This separates the pros from the novice.
This is why earning backlinks legitimately the old school way (one at a time) is still the MOST effective way to increase your SEO and ranking with Google.
The process should be painful. You should sweat a little. That means your doing it correctly.
Sorry guys, there are no exceptions to this rule.
Buying backlinks is "Black Hat SEO" and can get you in a lot of trouble with Google like being blacklisted, and extreme drop in rank.
We're talking permanent damage that is nearly impossible to recover from.
Buy backlinks, and kiss your website good bye , forever. Yup, it's that bad.
Google is not forgiving. They're actually pretty harsh when it comes to this.
If you want to be classified as spam, buy backlinks.
If you want to work your way to the top position on Google, earn backlinks.
I know... I know... it's tempting. I get it. But avoid the temptation like the singing sirens beckoning the ship to its demise.
People are often tempted to buy backlinks because it can offer a temporary surge in rank and traffic but this is short lived.
And if you want to keep your website around for more than a couple months, we recommend not falling into this trap.
The guys who sell backlinks don't care about your website. They are just trying to make a quick buck. They don't care that your website will get on the "Naughty list" with Google and be banned forever. They won't be around to hear you sobbing. Believe me, your "backlink guy" won't help you and can't help you.
So here's some good stuff YOU SHOULD do😉
Try to earn “do follow” backlinks, as these are the ones that count for SEO.
“No follow” backlinks can be helpful for marketing purposes and can indirectly help SEO, but of course “do follow” are much better to get.
